5) Lucid Out-of-Body: A Visit To Linda's House

Robert Waggoner had been a participant in my mutual dreaming projects since 1985. For the second time, he was planning to come visit me (in the waking state). On the first occasion, we had met in the downstairs of my home; he never came upstairs and thus did not know the layout of the second floor.

I go into the kitchen where something strikes me as funny or odd. Suddenly I say, "This is nothing but a dream!" I feel a surge of energy.

I begin to think that I should contact Linda Lane Magallón, and I wonder if she is having a similar dream. I fly up through the house and into the dark evening sky. As I fly I say "Linda Lane Magallón, California" a few times. The feeling is like quickly moving through a milk chocolate fog. Finally I am in a dark bedroom of her house, I think. But I feel she is across the hall. In the darkness I can make out a closet to my left. I head for the door, calling her name. I come to a chair back, and hold it. It makes me feel blocked as I stand 4 feet from the door. My frustration begins and I can tell the dream is going to end.

After Robert sent this dream and drawing, I replied by mail,

"Your dream room is an exact schematic of my son Victor's bedroom. Same orientation, same placement of furniture, door and hallway. The piece of furniture you speculated might be a desk is actually a dresser/bookcase combo. There's usually no chair, but sometimes I bring up a wooden kitchen chair to stand on and put things away. It has 5 vertical slats in the middle of 2 outer frames and a wide top band, as in your drawing. There are other rooms where you pictured them but my bedroom's down the hallway to the left.

"Pretty darn good, astral traveler!"
